Refik Anadol is a pioneer at the intersection of art and machine learning. I had the pleasure of chatting with him about his thoughts on the controversies surrounding the rise of generative AI text-to-image programs in the summer of 2022. My favorite quote from the interview:

“I’ve found that [AI] is an extension of my consciousness. It’s an extension of my imagination. […] Data is still the pigment — but now, the brush can think.”
